Yes, gasoline continues to rise, and no doubt gasoline companies are turning out a record profit yet again. According to an ABC News poll, 58 of us in the United States are driving less; in a commuter country, gasoline prices affect everyone, directly and indirectly.

According to an ABC news article, “Sticker shock at pump will lead to increase in food prices,” David Zilberman, a professor from UC Berkeley’s department of Agricultural and Resource Economics, says that “a global food shortage means we’ll see more price fluctuations in the future…the world may have to turn to genetically modified food to increase supplies.”

eFoods Global is proud to provide you the best reserves with no genetically modified food ingredients. Non-gmo food is our standard and even though we can’t control the country’s food supply, we can help you become prepared for the future. And that is a challenge that we’re gladly happy to take on.

Don’t delay in getting your food reserves. High prices shouldn’t mean you have to resort to cheaper food. With eFoods Global, you can get quality food for a great price.

You can have peace and have confidence to handle whatever comes your way with some preparation. There will be no need to panic if you are prepared physically, mentally, and spiritually on the possibility of difficult days.
It is predicted that in the last days difficult times will come. It has seemed that America has fallen economically and spiritually.

Preparing physically

1) Have an abundant clean water supply, and ways to filter water that does not require electricity, like the Berkey Light Water Filter.
You can actually survive without food for months, but without water you would die after a few days, so needless to say, water is absolutely essential for all living things, and the most important nutrient for optimal health and avoiding disaster. Learn more about the health benefit of drinking water Here
2) Buy Stored Food. Go To Costco, Sams Club or your favorite grocer and stock up on things that you would normally eat in the future.
The problem with food in the stores, they have a much shorter shelf life, and are generally unhealthy because of all the additives inside it.
It is best to buy organic natural foods that have a shelf life of 15 or more years. Plus, if you use this food in 15 years, you would be saving a lot if you consider inflation through out the years. To get 12 Servings of Gourmet Food Reserves, Click Here.
3) Be able to make your own food through gardening or sprouting.

Heirloom non-hybrid seeds are the best, for you can have a supply of seeds forever if you harvest the seeds after the season is over.
4) Adequate shelter, protection from weather or intruders even if you need to abandoned your current home.
5) Maintain good health, so you need not rely on Doctors or medicine. Learn 9 Steps to Keep the Doctor Away Here.
6) Have the ability to produce alternate power/electricity (i.e. generators, solar, wind, batteries, converters, etc)
7) Have cash on hand or ways/products to barter for essentials that you may need, but don’t have.

Preparing Mentally

Educate yourself with books on survival skills like gardening, hunting, cooking, canning, practical maintenance repair.
9) Think Biblically: Renew mind on the truth of God’s Word (Romans 12:2), will keep you thinking rightly, and will also effect your attitude and behaviors

Preparing Spiritually

10) Nurturing your Relationship with God through prayer, Bible Study, and fellowship with other Believers

11) Pray to your Creator, asking for wisdom, increased your relationship with Him

12) Join a community of like-minded people, also helps to strengthen your position with the skills of others you may not have and encourage you to grow spiritually, mentally, and physically.

For More Information on Spiritual Preparation, CLICK HERE.

Regardless if anything will happen this year or next, it is wise to prepare.
It is best to be 15 years ahead, than one day to late.

Is storing food prudent or is it a paranoid activity? Let me give you five good reasons why storing food is wise.

1) Great investment
With the possibility of economic collapse or hyper inflation, your money may be worthless in 15 years, but food could be worth more than gold in a situation where there is no food around. Last days (Rev. 6:6), A quart of wheat for a denarius, (it would cost a day’s wage to buy the ingredients for a loaf of bread)

2) Beat Inflation or Spike In Food Prices
To hedge against inflation or a possible food price increase, stored food will definitely perform greater in the long run. If crops fail in some parts of the world one year causing a drastic rise in the price of food, it would be beneficial to have stored food to rely on. You are literally grocery shopping for the future at today’s prices.
3) Insurance from weather-related disasters or times when unable to buy your own food
If you are unable to leave your home or the storms disrupt food supply transportation lines, your family will be able to stay safely in your home with enough to eat; Storms and weather make food impossible to transport, destroy crops and isolate people from supplies. Food storage is a form of insurance. You buy it now in case you need it in the future.

4) Stress Reliever In Times Of Family Crisis Like Job Loss, Sickness, Financial Setbacks
Having food stored during this time takes away the stress of paying for food, and provides the money to be used for other necessities. Several weeks or months worth of food and supplies could make a tough time a little easier. Knowing you are prepared to cope with what comes your way is a great stress reliever. If in quarantines, martial law, disasters and emergencies people don’t have their own individual supplies, they will be dependent and helpless.
5) Able to Help Others
You can be generous and loving when you’re able to provide something tangible to someone in need. It’s a great feeling to gather together a few bags of groceries and deliver them to a desperate family. You will be in a position to help your close friends or family if a disaster strikes them.
Whatever your motivation, think of storing food as an investment, insurance, stress reliever, and a practical way to help those in need.

None of these things may result in a Last Days or end of the world scenario, but knowing those days may be coming soon, it would be even more reasonable to be 15 years prepared rather than one day to late. So what are you waiting for?

The First Step in preparation of a crisis is long term food storage.

On average, you want enough food stored away to feed your family for NINE MONTHS (some places twelve). You need enough food to keep you alive until you can grow your own.
So basically, you need to be ready with short-term fixes (like food storage) and long-term sustainable solutions (like survival gardening).

How would you feed your family if the food system completely collapses with no hope of return in our lifetime?

Although Storing Food is important, but you can’t live off beans and dried rice forever. You’re gonna run out eventually.

Fortunately, there’s a simpler, healthier and tastier solution: Plant a garden with Heirloom seeds.

Sounds simple. It is. Or at least… it was. It still can be simple, but you have to know how to avoid the pitfalls of modern agricultural and profit-driven home garden suppliers.

Done right, your backyard can feed your entire family, year after year after year.

One of my favorite quotes about preparedness is that good preparations help us whether bad things happen or not. I’ve been thinking about that a lot lately because of the volcanic eruptions in Iceland and the devastating effect they are having on millions of people.

For example, we’ve all read how airlines have been affected by the no-fly rules, and it’s easy from there to understand that the airlines are losing money. But consider the millions of passengers who would have flown home or to business destinations who have not been able to complete their journeys. Reports of passengers who have been stranded and are completely broke are growing, and it’s painful to contemplate how desperate they must be, stuck in an airport in a foreign country with no money and no way to get home to family and work.

I’m sure there are also many more stories of regular delivery of medication and other important supplies that are often transported by air that have been affected. If the eruption was much worse, I’ve been told it would begin to affect technology far beyond commercial airline flights.

And let’s not forget that volcanic eruptions can bring about substantial climate change-the authentic kind, mind you-and that climate change can lead to societal unrest, like the French Revolution, which historians now believe was in part the result of a famine which was brought about by volcanic eruptions in Iceland.

In just a few short years we’ve seen natural disasters altering the lives of individuals, communities and now entire continents. There was Katrina, then the Indian Ocean tsunami, the earthquakes in Chile, Haiti and China, and most recently the volcanic eruptions disrupting travel and commerce in Europe.

Few places in the world are safe from any kind of natural disaster, so use each of these events as a reminder to evaluate your own personal plans and the natural disasters that may pose a risk to you and your loved ones. Consider how you might be affected, and what your plans should be, to deal with catastrophic natural disasters in your community.

Questions to ask yourself:

What if the power is out?

What if the banking system isn’t working?

What if the roads are closed?

What if the grocery stores have no food?

What if communications are disrupted?

What if there is a deadly, contagious disease spreading?

What if there are no emergency services (fire, ambulance, police) functioning?

What if there are gangs roaming the community?

What if any of the above persists for more than a few hours or days?

How Do You Stay In Touch When You’re Off the Grid?

When it comes to preparing for disasters, whether a short-term situation such as a weather related event, or long-term such as an economic collapse, communications is a vital part of survival preparedness. One should carefully consider how they will communicate with family, neighbors, allies, etc. as well as how they will receive information about the situation.

When selecting radio equipment, there are some key factors one must consider.Today we will briefly discuss band selection, power options, security, and size.Keep in mind that the best option is always the one that is tailor made to best fit a particular situation and set of circumstances. A careful evaluation of those factors will greatly aid in proper radio selection

There are three main options for survival radio bands or frequency ranges. They are Ultra High Frequency (UHF), Very High Frequency (VHF), and High Frequency (HF). Each band has its upside and its downside. UHF has a very short radio wavelength that allows for a short antenna, but it also limits the range since it is adversely affected by obstacles. VHF offers greater range and is less affected by buildings and terrain features, but requires a longer antenna for optimum performance. This band is very popular in marine and aviation uses. HFhas the potential for around the world communications, but is the most technically challenging to use. A more thorough understanding of radio wave propagation and antenna theory is required to utilize HF radios to their highest potential.

Armed with a basic understanding of the different bands, one can begin to select radios for a particular situation. The ultimate setup would be a selection of different radios, though this may not always be practical. A good HF base station with a few handheld UHF radios would be great and will be more than sufficient in most situations.

Power source is critical when it comes to survival radios. When referring to power, we are referring both to how the radio is powered and to how that power source is recharged. Basic power options are battery power (DC) and residential (AC). Though many base station units operate using AC, in a survival situation we should stick to equipment that runs on batteries as AC will likely be unavailable other than in the form of generators.

There are two main options for batteries. Off the shelf batteries, such as AA are a good start. This will allow you to stockpile batteries and not be dependent on any other source of power. The downsides are the limited number you are able to stockpile and shelf life. Eventually some sort of rechargeable system will be required. Once there, your options are to recharge from a generator, solar or from a vehicle.Once again this becomes a matter of your particular needs and circumstances. The best all around solution is a radio that can use both off-the-shelf batteries and a high capacity rechargeable battery pack that can be recharged from both AC and 12 volt vehicle systems. With today’s options, this is not a lot to ask for.

In the digital age, encryption has become a much simpler process and nearly all radios offer some degree of security. From the cheap FRS radios to the high end commercial units that offer computerized security options, radio security is more widely available than ever. However, one must keep in mind from whom one is securing communications. If it is from your neighbor down the street, basic encryption is generally sufficient and highly effective. If you’re trying to hide from a three letter government agency, no level of off the shelf radio encryption will suffice. If you are in dire need of secure communications, I suggest you study the use of code-words, one time pads etc. and never depend on any form of electronic encryption.

As for size, survival radios will either be classified as handheld/man portable, vehicle mounted or base stations. Once again, selection should be based on your particular situation. Keep in mind that the larger the unit, the greater its range, but also the greater its power consumption. If you plan to bug out to the hills, a base station will be useless and handheld units are the practical option. But if you plan to remain on a homestead a base station can be powered with a generator, solar, hydroelectric, etc. and will give you world-wide capabilities.

You should now be ready to begin evaluating your radio requirements and preparing your communications plan. Remember, radios, as a means of communication, are useless if the people you wish to talk to are not using compatible equipment. Make sure those with whom you plan talk to are as prepared as you are and discuss communications protocols well before you need to use them.Test your radios frequently and practice using them with your family and neighbors. The more you learn about radio fundamentals the better your communications abilities will be when the time comes to use them for real.

One concern of almost every person on Earth is health care. We in the United States are fortunate to have the best health care system in the world, but if the current administration has its way, that may soon come to an end.Of course, no one is really against universal health care, if only it could work. The problem is that all evidence suggests it doesn’t. With the collapse of the American medical profession a serious possibility, we must consider the possibility we’ll have to provide for our own medical needs.

All good health care begins with preventive measures. It’s like the old saying “a penny saved is a penny earned.” Well, it’s better to stay healthy than to have to work to get well. Fortunately the Earth has provided us with nearly everything we need to accomplish this. Every day scientists discover a myriad of health benefits from fruits, vegetables and herbs. Many of these things have been discovered by previous civilizations and lost, just to be discovered again.

One of these so-called miracle foods is pomegranate. For quite some time, nutritionists have known the health benefits of this fruit. It is a powerful antioxidant and is full of vitamins. It is a proven cancer fighter and is especially effective against breast, skin and prostate cancers. It is effective in combating heart disease and Alzheimer’s, and is an effective anti-aging substance. The general health benefits alone are well worth taking advantage of what it has to offer. But now, scientists have identified yet another benefit offered by the humble pomegranate.

Overuse of antibiotics have given birth to strains of super bacteria known as Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA). This is basically a bacterial infection that has grown immune to our current supplies of antibiotics due to overuse. Scientists are now working with pomegranates to develope an effective treatment for MRSA. It turns out that the chemicals contained in the rinds, when mixed with vitamin C and some other substances, act as an extremely powerful antimicrobial agent. While this particular drug is still in the testing phase, it serves to remind us that often the simplest, most effective drugs, can be found in our gardens.

Given the volatility of the American health care system and the world economy as a whole, now is the time to prepare-before it’s too late. A little knowledge about the health benefits of common fruits, vegetables, herbs and spices can go a long way in a world with little or no formal medical care. Don’t be fooled by the pharmaceutical industry that would have you believe that life is unlivable without their chemical wonder drugs. These companies are out to make a profit, any way they can. Rest assured that the cloves of garlic growing in your backyard garden, a powerful anibiotic, have no such profit agenda, and will still be around long after greedy, incompetent politicians have destroyed health care as we know it.
The ability to start a fire is the most basic survival skill one can have. It becomes especially important in cold-weather and long-term survival situations. Modern man has several tools at his disposal to aid in the fire starting process, but all are not created equal. Let’s discuss some of the most popular methods and their pros and cons.

In To Start a Fire, Jack London exemplified the difficulties one faces when starting a fire in a seriously adverse survival situation. Since we always plan for the worst, our fire starting tools must be up to the task. All survival tools, including fire starters, should have the following characteristics.

- They should be capable of functioning in as many situations and conditions as possible. I refer to this as versatility.

- They should make minimum use of breakable mechanical parts. You need something reliable.

- They should be of a practical size for their given purpose. Portability is extremely important in a survival situation.

- They should be durable-something that can be used over and over again.

- Your tools should all have a long shelf life; they might have to endure harsh conditions in long-term storage.

Now let’s discuss the three most common types of modern fire making tools and see how each fares under the above criteria.

- Matches – Matches are the simplest modern fire starters. They are simple and contain no moving parts. They are small and extremely portable. They function well under most conditions, but not all. In wet and humid conditions, one must be extremely careful with matches, or you can quickly waste an entire box. As far as durability goes, you are limited by the number of matches you carry. Hope for one match per fire, but don’t plan on it. Also, matches leave something to be desired when it comes to long term storage. If not properly stored and cared for, matches can become damp and useless.

- Lighters – There are a variety of powerful butane survival lighters on the market. They function better than matches under most conditions. They are relatively small and portable. If properly cared for, they can be stored for long periods of time, and are basically impervious to water. Their durability is lacking since they are limited by the amount of fuel they contain.

- Flint and Steel (firesteel) – The modern method uses a piece of steel to ignite a shower of intense sparks (5000 degrees F) from a solid block of material, usually magnesium. Firesteel functions in all situations. If it becomes wet, it can easily be dried with material or in the open air. It uses no moving parts so it is reliable. It is small and can easily be carried in a pocket or pouch. One small block of the ignitable material will start somewhere around 5,000 fires. Plan on at least 10,000 matches and several butane lighters to do the same. Firesteel can be stored indefinitely and is immune to the effects of water and time.

Given the comparrison of the three methods, it is clear that firesteel is the most reliable, durable, versatile, and portable. Though extremely simple to use, as with all your survival tools, you should practice using firesteel before your life is on the line. A great firesteel can be found at Firesteel.com. Short of that, a combination of lighters and matches should prepare you for almost any situation.

A Bug Out Bag (BOB) is a backpack or shoulder bag is basically a big survival kit that contains all of the items you would require to survive at a moment’s notice. But this isn’t any regular bag. It’s packed full of emergency gear you will need to stay alive.

The primary purpose of a bug-out bag is to allow one to evacuate quickly if a disaster should strike. It is therefore prudent to gather all of the materials and supplies that might be required to do this into a single place, such as a bag or a few storage containers.

Your BOB allows you to grab what you need quickly and should contain enough supplies to last for at least seventy two hours.
Some possible items for your bug out bag include ….
first aid kit, water bottle, water purifier/filters, flashlights, water proof matches, multi-tool, emergency food, extra clothing, some kind of shelter (sleeping bag, tent), batteries, duct tape and medicine.
