Great Southern Utah Camping Spots
There are some amazing camping spots in Southern Utah. In fact if you are ever taking a Southern Utah vacation one thing you might want to consider is staying at one of these great camping grounds so you can see more of the Utah scenery and it is also many times cheaper to camp then to stay at a hotel.
1. Fish Lake
This is a perfect lake to take a camping and fishing trip at. This Utah Lake is a great place to go if you are looking to get nice fishing memories. It is also surrounded by the Fish Lake National Forests that has many great hiking trails and includes the world’s largest living organism, which is basically a group of tress that are all fused together.
There is just one word of warning I should give you this lake is a perfect R.V. camping area. If you decide to bring a tent you better come in the middle of the summer or you will most likely freeze.
2. Any National Park
Every one of the Utah National Parks are well worth the visit and by camping out at them you can see all there is to see. Each park has a camping section and they are all relatively inexpensive.
3. Green River
The Green River State Park is a fantastic place to camp out because they have some nice fishing and it also contains a golf course so there is a lot to do just on the camp ground. It is also very close to 3 major national parks, Arches, Capitol Reef, and Canyonlands.
The wide variety of things to do here make this a fantastic spot to plan a family vacation at.
4. Snow Canyon
Snow canyon is also a nice place to stay; this park is normally not very crowded and contains some amazing lava flow rock formations. It is also next to the other two National Parks, Zion National Park and Bryce Canyon.
There are hundreds of spots to camp around the state. These are just a few nice areas that you may want to check out.
