How to exercise in a swimming pool

Swimming is one of the best exercises that improves fitness and also tones your body. Aquatic exercises can be done by people from different age, it can be in your swimming pools, as for gym exercises children under 16 won’t be allowed in, swimming is one exercise where there is no age barrier.

There are plenty of exercises, which can be done in a swimming pool such as abdominal, biceps, hamstrings, shoulders and other exercises for different parts of your body. To work on various body parts at the gym, you will probably have to hit different machines and also work twice as hard. All that hard work for hours at the gym, where in swimming all that can be achieve by just one stroke, whether its cardio or muscle toning.

However, you shouldn’t over do it at the gym or swimming pool, especially if you are a first timer overdoing can cause you seriour injury. I believe swimming definitely is one of the best form of exercise for everyone and anyone.

Swimming is also used for aquatic therapy, for people who have asthma, broken bones, cardiac rehabilitation, diabetes, joint replacement, multiple sclerosis, spinal injuries, stress reduction, weight management and chronic pain of muscles/joints.

But bare is mind that aquatic therapy is completely different than aquatic exercise. Aquatic or water therapy focuses on body stress management, whereas exercise is done by people in good health to tone their body or endurance.

I hope the above gives you some sort of idea on what sort of exercise is needed to lose weight, increase your strength or to tone your body.

This all can be done within your own home these days. Swimming pools these days are being built for investment. Also do keep in mind that there are swimming pool equipments and swimming pool chemicals to look at for the maintenance of your swimming pool.
