It Is Surprising That Golf Has Joined The Olympics
It has been announced in recent months that Golf will be in the Olympics which I have to say is pretty good if you are into the sport but for the other people is this going to be a sport you can sit and watch for two weeks??
Well I must say that Golf isn’t dull at all and thousands of people both play and watch the sport. There are also a lot of people that enjoy paying to see the game when the professionals are playing so it is without doubt people will pay to see it at the Olympics.
Any Problems With It Being A Sport?
There may be a few problems with having the golf in the Olympics and that is that most of the top players in the world are either from America or UK which means that the medals could be very one sided indeed. This means that it could be a bit of an unfair contest which is not what people want to happen at the games. The people behind this sport have already said that the top 15 players of the world will get in which means the lovely medals will be going to them right??
They really need a few different events to give the others a bit of a chance which they may be thinking of.
It has a few intital teething problems like most things but I am sure that along with Rugby, Golf will be very welcome in the Games.
Charge up those golf trolleys , get those battery accessories going and get ready for some golf action in 2016!
