Nuclear Power: Is It Okay?

Many people think that using Nuclear power is going to do some the world good by reducing C02 emissions but this is simply not true. So what are the arguments for and against?

There Is Not A Chance Of Spillage

According to many governments there is a very tiny chance of a leak every happening thanks to inventions such as level measurement. This will tell them when the waste is getting to the point where it could potentially leak out and will set of an alarm. This means that an accident is almost impossible to happen because someone will always be on site to stop it.

Does Is Actually Help?

One of the things that needs to be asked here is, do we really need to rely on nuclear power at all? 4% of power comes from the nuclear plants in the UK, yes that it is all, surely we have other ways to get such a small amount? Well of course organisations like GreenPeace are stating that we can get all of out power from renewable energy such as sun, wind and tides but is this actually going to be a great thing? Wind turbines are very noisy and are a bit eyesore but the main thing is that they are better than nuclear power that’s for sure. The thing is, this is the first thing tourists will see when they are flying in?

They should not allow any more nuclear plants to open but I do not see why they should even bother trying to close the current ones they have all of the solids level switch and ultrasonic level controls that they need and for a disaster to happen the government would be in deep, deep trouble so I am almost certain that will not happen.

More plants also gives terrorists more chances to hit us hard and destroying a nuclear power plant could kill thousands.
