Our Local Park Has Just Installed Some New Trampolines
At last the sun has decided to put in an appearance. It seems to have taken forever to arrive, but it’s fantastic now it’s finally returned.
The winter has been very harsh this year and in my mind seems to have dragged on just that little bit longer than normal.
Personally speaking I feel so much more alive when the sun is shining and I just feel happier.
It’s strange, but as you grow older the weather takes on a different prospective as to when you were a child.
I will admit that when I was younger it didn’t bother me to be outdoors in the freezing cold, but nowadays during the winter I need at least 3 layers on before I step out of my front door and even then I hate going out in the cold.
Those bitter cold mornings when you have to go outside just to scrape the ice off the car are a nightmare. My family call me Rudolph during the winter months as my nose is always red and glowing!
My children on the other hand don’t seem to care about the weather. Even during the winter months they pester me to pay a visit to our local park.I will admit that it is pretty impressive and is so much better than the bog standard local park where you just get a tiny bit of grass and a few broken swings. As well as all the usual play equipment it also boasts a fantastic boating pond, a brilliant old steam train that travels around the whole park and numerous outdoor activities to keep the children entertained. They enjoy themselves on the trampolines whether it’s pouring with rain or blazing sunshine.
During the winter months the park has had a total makeover and they have replaced some of the smaller 10ft trampoline and instead have installed bigger 12ft trampoline.
We usually visit the park every weekend during the summer. It’s wonderful because I get to sit outside and soak up the beautiful sunshine whilst the kids are whizzing around the park and wearing themselves out – brilliant
