When preparing for future needs, food, water, and shelter are vital for physical life on earth. Extra tools like knives, flashlights, first aid kits, and some kind of oven will make life easier. But most people ignore the most important advice for complete preparation for any survival, the proper dealing with their souls. If you were lacking spiritual preparation, any physical preparation would be temporal and for the most part in vain!
What Do I Mean By Spiritual Preparation?
In a few words, becoming more like Jesus, godliness. Spiritual preparation starts with having a personal and abiding relationship with your Creator Jesus Christ. Our preparation and growth continues as we seek to follow His commands. Jesus died on the cross for our sins to restore my soul and our relationship with God. He also gives us grace to face any situation successfully, and purpose for our life on earth.
Benefits Of Spiritual Preparation
1) Better Attitude
(Humble Phil. 2:3, joyful James 1:5, grateful IThess. 5:16-8, loving I Jn. 4:7)
2) Living Hope (I Peter 1:3+)
Our hope is certain, guaranteed, and our future is secure. Knowing that an all powerful and sovereign God is on our side providing and protecting us, gives us peace to continue preserving.
3) Receive Eternal rewards and avoid eternal consequences
Spiritual Preparation not only helps us now, but more importantly, for all eternity.
Just like physical exercise has some benefit now, spiritual exercise (godliness) has benefits now and for all eternity. (I Tim. 4:8).
One day we will meet Jesus, will He say, “Well done my faithful servant” (Matt. 25:21)
Or will He say, “Depart from Me, I never knew you” (Matt. 7:21-23)
How to Prepare Spiritually
1) Repent and Believe in the Gospel Mark 1:15
2) Develop a growing and abiding relationship with Jesus Christ through the application of His Word (the Holy Bible)
3) Devote yourself to prayer (Col. 4:2)
4) Fellowship with other growing Christians (Heb. 10:24-25)
Bible warns of the coming trouble on earth like famine, pestilence, and wars. (Matt. 24) But it also warns on the coming judgment at the end of our lives. (Heb. 9:27-8)
Our souls are going to live somewhere forever, is your soul prepared for heaven or for hell? Are we ready/ prepared to stand before our Holy Creator?

Hello there, so, for my research paper, I have to write about why Nelson Mandela is a hero.
