You’d think that people doing cardio would lose fat. After all, exercise is exercise no matter how slow it is.You’ll find that regardless of how much cardio you do, you don’t lose any flab. Cardio is not good if you want rapid weight loss.

It’s amazing how that people who do cardiovascular exercises every day for hours every week and they still have stomach fat to spare. In Britain, a study was done that included thirty five people who were over weight and not exercising.

These people worked out for three months and did it five days weekly. With all that work, they averaged an eight pound loss.

During that quarter-year period, there was a wide range of loss up to 30 lbs and gains as much as 4 lbs.

What went wrong is that the people who didn’t lose weight or gained weight were the ones who ate more to compensate for being hungrier from the workout. This amounted to an average of almost 300 calories on each day. Exercising with cardio won’t help you lose 20 pounds.

The message is that slow cardio has the effect of intensifying hunger. That means that people who are unable to resist eating more shouldn’t do aerobics.

This is one more good reason to pursue intervals as your choice method for buring fat and losing weight.

There’s one more way that you can help reduce fat: be sure to add resistance exercises to the intervals that you are doing. You won’t have near the problem with increased appetite when you have an effective fat loss program. So, maybe you are impressed with the person who lost thirty pounds with cardio, so you want to do it yourself. There’s going to be a challenge there because you will be tempted to do a lot more munching than you would with intervals.

You’ll have to accept the fact that those that reduce their pounds using aerobics cannot be counted as average results. There are more gainers than losers on aerobic plans, so you’re way ahead of the game if you do intervals. Feel free to talk about this in the weight loss forum.

You really do need to know what it is like to stay in a private villa at least once during the course of your lifetime and this is because so many people out there are just a little too used to those hotels. So what are the benefits of visiting one of those villas Costa Blanca?

Privacy is key for staying in a villa and it is the first thing that I can think of when it comes to staying in one, it has to be the top reason surely?. A lot of people really hate having to swim in a pool full of people that they do not know and within good reason because let’s face it, there are a lot of annoying people out there that just do whatever they can to actually annoy other swimmers in the pool. The great thing about staying in a private villa is that you do not need to worry about this as the pool is essentially just yours for the entire duration of your stay!

You really can do what you like when it comes to a villa whereas when you are at a hotel there are so many rules in place. There are signs in villas advising you on what to do but you do not have to follow them to the book like you do when it comes to hotels? Another bonus of staying in a hotel is that you do not have to worry about people coming back in the early hours of the morning and waking you up!

Of course if a private villa still isn’t something you fancy doing then perhaps you need to look for something a little closer to home likeself catering Torquay. On top of this there are manyTorquay hotels for you to go to if you fancy staying up there as well which is always good for a nice little break from work.

Birthday Flowers

There are many celebratory ceremonies in a year from Birthdays, Anniversaries, Weddings, Christmas, Valentines Day, Mothers Day and many more. A lot of us get worried on what gifts to get for these occasions but we do not remember that flowers are great gifts for these occasions. Normally what people tend to do is when they cannot find a present or a gift they buy flowers and then give it as a present. It is a good idea but flowers always goes well with gifts (my wife says that all the time). I agree with her – don’t want to cause no arguements as our anniversary is not far away.

You have to take gifts if you have been invited to attend a birthday party or a wedding ceremony it is necessary and so are flowers. Why am I forcing you to buy flowers? Well because flowers can bring a smile to anyone’s face no matter what ceremony or circumstances they are in – it is a gesture of love and appreciation. These days there are flowers for many occasions from anniversaries, birthdays, weddings, new baby, congratulation, funeral and many more. The really weird thing is that they are all made for a special occasion. We can have birthday flowers for birthdays or wedding flowers for weddings. Now that they have so many flowers for different occasions we won’t be able to find a good reason to give to our loved once when we forget to buy them presents or flowers on their special day. Especially nowadays you can buy flowers anywhere and everywhere, your local florists, even the gas stations, you can buy it online and have it delivered. So is the Internet making our lives easier or harder, I am not entirely sure now haha.

I love flowers. Whenever I go on a party I take a beautiful flower bouquet with me because it just puts a smile on the hosts face and it makes them appreciate me more. So there can be different reasons on why you want to buy flowers or give flowers. My specific reason is to give it away in special occasion no matter if I have bought them a gift or not, so that I can see a smile on their faces.

The aftermath of the earthquake in Haiti has remained in the headlines for good reason, and likely will for the foreseeable future. The loss of life, devastation and the unfolding nightmare of power outages, infrastructure destruction, rioting, looting and general anarchy are horrific.

We should be watching this disaster and learning from it, because while Haiti is an impoverished, third world country, people are people and the urbanization of Haiti mirrors that of the United States and other nations.Consider for a moment that a huge percentage of Haiti’s population live in urban areas, particularly Port-au-Prince, just as we do here in America, where only 2% of our population live on farms and provide the food for the rest of us.

This urbanization means most of us are dependent on others for our daily bread. That arrangement means we are vulnerable to disruptions in society, even if we are not directly affected.

Over the last century (and particularly the last half century), much of the world has moved away from a traditional Christian society. We’ve largely pushed our traditional values out of the mainstream. When times get tough, people think nothing of resorting to violence to take from others what they want or need. We see it in Haiti right now, with the riots and looting, we see it daily in the news where people around the world resort to vigilante justice, where the governments act as they wish, and we have seen it right here at home in Los Angeles after the Rodney King verdict and in New Orleans after Katrina.

We have to face the fact that we have a very thin veneer of civilization. We’re awfully comfortable here, and people act-for the most part-like they are civilized, but when that lifestyle is disrupted, all hell breaks loose.Your neighbor who might gladly lend a cup of sugar or flour when you’ve made a mistake baking a pie might be at your front door with a gun in an emergency, driven by his fear, hunger, anger, pain or just envy.

Elementary school teachers often use the phrase, ‘teach in the moment’ as a way of using current events as teaching opportunities. While we are praying for the Haitians and sending food, supplies or money to aid them, we should also learn lessons and incorporate this into our own preparations.

Consider for a moment that one of the greatest earthquakes in the history of the US occurred not in California, but along the New Madrid fault that runs along the Mississippi River. The quakes that occurred in 1811 and 1812 are considered the most intense intraplate earthquakes to hit the US in modern times. The quake was felt for over 1 million square miles, causing church bells to ring in New York and Boston.

The quake was so strong it caused the Mississippi River to run backwards, forming the Reelfoot Lake and forever altering the course of the Mississippi. In fact, the part of the river known as the ‘Kentucky Bend’ was formed by this earthquake.

Imagine how cities in this region, as far north as Chicago, to St. Louis, Memphis and dozens of other major cities within a few hundred miles might be affected today if a massive earthquake shook the ground under buildings that have not been built to earthquake standards. Even if cities were not razed to the ground, imagine the destruction across hundreds of miles of power lines, gas lines, bridges and interstates. Think of how your life would be changed if there were no power, no gasoline, and no trucks resupplying your grocery store for a few weeks.

The reality might be that our lifestyle is even more fragile than that of the Haitians. A people who are accustomed to suffering and deprivation are likely to respond better to hardship than a people who are used to having their every need (and most of their wants) met. Whatever the catastrophe might be, whether it is natural, economic, cultural or terrorist, we are one event away from a life changing event.

The planting of roses along with other types of flowers might be a better choice for a garden than just planting roses alone. Having only one species of plant in a garden is often frowned upon as a “monoculture,” and for good reason. A single species that gets hit with a pest infestation or some kind of disease could be entirely wiped out, leaving nothing in the garden at all. Floribunda roses might be hardier than, say, hybrid tea roses, but it’s still not a good idea to plant the garden with just one type of flower. You’re safer to put other flowering plants in as well.

When you think of planting roses along with other flowers, though, you have to take new factors into consideration. One of those will be height. For example, floribunda roses generally don’t grow much higher than two or three feet. You likely wouldn’t want to choose petunias as their companions, unless you pick a variety that grows along the ground, because you’re likely to get nothing but a big mash-up of flowers. You might prefer to put something like alyssum below the floribundas instead.

You could arrange different configurations for the bushes as well. For example, by planting roses closer together and trimming the foliage in certain ways, you can create a rose hedge. If you line your sidewalks with hedges like these, even going out for a walk would feel (and smell!) like a small stroll through a bower. Setting roses to climb a fence behind some lower annuals in beds around the edges of the yard could also add extra beauty to your garden design.

There are also some relatively shade tolerant types of roses that you could plant in different places than usual, though even these would always need a certain amount of sunlight. And you’d always have to remember that any annuals you placed in and among your taller roses would still need to be planted as seedlings rather than just planting the seeds and waiting for them to grow in time. You can experiment with all sorts of companions and configurations when planting roses with other flowers or finding creative ways to arrange the roses themselves. You can help reduce the risk of all your roses succumbing to pests or disease, and create a lush arrangement of many different types of flowers at the same time.
