A lot of people really do not fancy going shark diving and the fact is I do not blame them. Surely it would seem that sharks are one of the most dangerous creatures out there?? Surely it is easy to see why people are just not interested on putting on the gear and going on one of those Maldives diving trips?

There are not many types of sharks out there that have attacked humans, in fact thirty of the three hundred and fifty have attacked humans. Out of these 30 only 12 of them should be classed as really dangerous. If you do encounter them then you really do need to treat them with caution, the three types are white, tiger and bull.

The fear of all of this was most likely started hundreds of years ago when humans were scared of all predators. In today’s society it is likely that the fear comes out of the media stereotyping sharks and the opinions expressed in the media are very wrong indeed. Us humans really do like to control things and the thing is, we cannot control sharks which is also where I feel the fear also comes from now.

The fact is that shark attacks happen on very rare occasions indeed as there are only 50-70 attacks a year with the majority of these happening because the shark has mistaken the human for something else. Sharks do not like the taste of human flesh so they may bite into you and then swim away once they realise. You are actually more likely to drown than be attacked.

Diving is something that many people do each year with Sharm El Sheikh diving being one of the most popular out there. So although sharks are deadly creatures it is very unlikely that you will ever be attacked one, just be careful.

There are many locations that get discussed when it comes to the best places that people go shark diving but more often than not you will find that the hotels that people stay in are hardly ever mentioned at all. Here are some of the best hotels to go to if you are planning something like diving in Egypt.

Pinewood Village

This hotel is set on the shores of Diani Beach and is a fantastic hotel to stay in if you are thinking about diving. There are three major restaurants at the hotel itself. If you want a full blown meal then look at the Jahazi bar as they have pastas and pizzas, if a light snack is for you then look for the Bahrari lounge and Peponi beach. There is of course a swimming pool here along with a library and satellite television. There are a fair number of things to do within the hotel that include a nice spa, gym, tennis courts and of course the diving trips that you can go out on.

Amar Sina

This hotel is a traditional Egyptian hotel and is the perfect hotel to accommodate you when you are thinking about diving. To get out there diving is just 20 minutes away which is great and not one of the rooms in this place is the same as any others. The perfect place for the Sharm El Sheikh diving has to be here. There are a lot of things that can be found within the walls of this hotel such as mini zoo, gym and even a hairdresser.

The fact is there are many “diving hotels” out there that people tend to miss out on when it comes to staying somewhere. The great thing about many of these hotels is that they can actually offer out many diving packages which is always good for the diver. The main thing you need to take away is, have fun!!
